ABOUT
I’m Savannah. I’m an author, illustrator, history enthusiast, and, most importantly, a follower of Jesus.
I write stories with a hearty dose of hope, truth, and beauty, plus a dash of humor. While I’ve experimented with a variety of genres, I especially love writing true stories and accurate historical fiction that points readers to the hope of the kingdom of heaven and reminds them that God is good, light is greater than darkness, and every life is precious.
You can head over to my author website here to learn more about me and my books!
And I love history. That’s what this blog is about.
C. S. Lewis said, “Christianity… makes world-history in its entirety a single, transcendentally significant, story with a well-defined plot pivoted on Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Judgment.”
I believe that history truly is His-Story, God’s story. It’s the story of how the Lord has “visited and redeemed His people,” (Luke 1:68). When you look at it this way, history is not boring. It’s redeemed.
So on this blog, I share stories of people from history, informational articles on history, reviews of history-related books and movies, travel logs of my visits to historic sites, and other history tidbits, with the focus of all of it being on God’s hand in history—His providence, the spread of the gospel, and how Christianity has transformed the world. My goal is to do at least one new post a month.
I also occasionally post devotionals–musings on who God is and how our lives are part of His grand story. And every once in a while, I’ll share an update about my books.
My hope and prayer is that everything I share here will point you to Jesus!
Always remember, “He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it,” (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
All for Him,
Savannah Jane
